Dear Patients of Monroe Family Dentistry,
Our world remains different during this pandemic. We continue to adapt and adjust and make the changes needed to resume activities in a safe manner. Please take the time to review the updates below.
Universal precautions for infection control have always dictated that we take steps to make sure that germs are not spread in the office. We follow the guidelines from the state and national professional associations as well as OSHA and the CDC and are staying current with any updates they provide. Given recent events, our universal precautions have been expanded to include changes that will have an effect on your experience in the office. For some of these changes, we need your cooperation to ensure the safety of you and your family, our other patients, and our team. Together we can safely return to taking care of the dental health of our community.
Screening questions: You will be asked certain screening questions prior to your appointment. You will be asked the same questions again when you arrive for your appointment. Please do not come to the office if you or anyone at home is not feeling well.
Temperature check: Your temperature will be checked with a contact-less forehead thermometer when you arrive for your appointment.
Limiting patients in the office: Please remain in your car when you arrive, and text us to let us know you are here. We will respond to the text when you can come in to the office. We are going to do our best to ensure that there is only one patient in the office at a time. Do not bring anyone with you to the appointment. If you are bringing your children for their appointments, please do not bring siblings who do not have an appointment.
Hand hygiene: There will be hand sanitizer available at the front desk, please use it upon arriving.
Waiting room modifications: Magazines and toys for the kids have been removed from the waiting room to minimize surfaces that can transmit germs. We will be increasing the frequency with which the waiting room is cleaned.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. Thank you for entrusting us with your care.
